Build 47. Rear Anti Roll Bar
I could only get this into place dangling as I was missing the Rear Roll Bar Clamps, which CC have posted out for me. Prepping this was fairly easy, mine had an orange dot sticker on the bar, and I'd been sent two orange bushes (the only ones left after fitting the front ARB). The manual simply says spray with lots of lubricant and use a screwdriver to force the bush into position.
This all went on pretty easily, I found that clamping the bar in place made it even easier. Once the bushes were in place, I slotted this into position and left it dangling so I can secure it once the clamps come in the post.
Fitting of the rollbar was also quite easy once the brackets arrived, it was as simple as it was shown in the manual. I did however make an addition to this step based on what I'd read on other blogs. I took the time to order an additional wheel speed sensor earth lead. People have reported that the speedo can become unreliable at high speeds if it is not earthed correctly and that earthing on the anti rollbar clamps is a better alternative. So with this in mind, I decided to fit the extra earth lead on the speed sensor side (RHS for me), this also meant I had to swap out the normal nyloc with a half height nyloc, so as to make sure enough thread is showing through to pass the IVA. I'll connect this up as part of the speed sensor step.
Post build update, I ended up using the stock earth location for the speedo as my speedo was working only intermittently, perhaps my earth mod didn't give a good enough earth connecion afterall. I've had no problems with the standard earth as of yet.
